Creating art is my passion. I've tried my hand at many different mediums and now I think I have come up with a new idea. I originally started with etching both copper and brass to create unique pieces of mixed metal jewelry, but with so many jewelry artists out there I decided to use the same etching techniques to make framed art instead.
My process begins with etching various patterns onto copper, brass, and stainless steel sheets. I then draw my design on a ceramic tile or canvas. The next step is to cut shapes I need and glue them on the tile. When all the shapes are in place, I then add wire work and beads for the added touches that are needed to complete my piece of art. All tiles are matted and framed.
I am a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists since 2013 and recently accepted into the Craftsmen's Guild. I have had my art displayed at the Father Ryan Art Center, the Most Wanted Gallery, and the Framehouse and Jask Gallery. You can also find my work at The Artsmiths.
