Sergey Zlotnikov graduated in 1988 from Moscow Architectural Institute. After arriving in Pittsburgh in 1989 worked for four years as an architect for IKM.
In 1994 started in computer graphics, design and 3D modeling and rendering. All these years Sergey was involved in photography and was looking for a way to merge his early experience with etchings and gravure with photographic images.
In 2008 he saw advertising by New York artist Lothar Osterburg about upcoming classes in photogravure. Sergey jumped on the chance and came home with two plates. In about a year he had his own full service photogravure studio.
By 2016 he students of his own, as well as a list of national and international biennials and triennials that accepted his gravures.
