I was a painter first, specializing in industrial subjects and working class neighborhoods. But the allure of fiber art won me away, and now I make art quilts.
I walk a lot, and often takes photos or do sketches of my surroundings that serve as my inspiration.
I collect found objects and papers and like to include them in my work. I see the detritus of everyday life as “markings” made by my fellow humans.
The found objects give interest to the piece when viewed closely. They help tie together the feeling of time and place to which I feel attuned.
