Stephanie Lind was born and raised outside of Boston, MA. She received her BA in Art History from Lake Forest College in Illinois. She received a post-baccalaureate BFA from Slippery Rock University in Metals (minor in Drawing) and certification as an Art teacher (K – 12) from Carlow University. In January 2016 she completed a five-year long at-distance Master of Fine Arts graduate degree in metals (minor emphasis on Drawing) from Heartwood College of Art in Biddeford Maine.
Stephanie’s love of drawing has stayed a focal point in all her art work. She has been studying Botanical Art through Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where she is employed part time as an Adult Education assistant. Stephanie’s drawings are ultra-magnified, photo-realistic renderings of those leaves or plants dear to her that are sometimes overlooked pieces of nature- scarred, full of insect holes, or drawn as seen in winter. Stephanie uses pen and ink, watercolor, and colored pencil to create her intimate portrayals of botanicals.
