I grew up in eastern Pennsylvania and at an early age learned most of the traditional fiber crafts. I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Art Education.
Since much of my adult life has been spent in creation and artistic pursuits, I decided to step into the challenging world of creating fine craft as a living.
My studio is located in my home. I am a full-time professional weaver working on a 4 harness floor loom. My concentration is in creating clothing for women and men. I design, weave, and tailor my own yardage. My garment designs are my own original patterns or are based on traditional garment shapes.
My work can be seen at various fine craft shows and fiber festivals throughout Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland. I have won numerous awards for my work, including artistic excellence at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Pittsburgh, Best Craft in Show at the Quaker Arts Festival in Orchard Park, NY, and Second Place Best Fiber at the New Hope Outdoor Arts Festival. I am a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and was awarded master craftsman status in that organization in 2006.
