Since returning to Western Pennsylvania in 1984, Jeffrey has worked as a fulltime artist in several principal media: watercolor, kiln-formed glass, stained glass, garden/landscape design, as well as some writing. His primary medium in recent years has been kiln-formed glass, for which he has developed methodologies to infuse glass art with the sensibilities and qualities of watercolor painting.
Jeffrey has exhibited work at numerous shows, galleries, colleges and universities, both regionally and nationally. He is co-founder of the Annual Art Show at the Century Inn, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. He has also been a presenter/instructor for CCAC, the Master Gardeners’ Association, the Touchstone Center for Crafts, as well as other organizations. He is currently an active member and Vice President of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh and sits on the Guild’s Board as the Quality and Standards Chair, Education Chair and Public Relations Chair. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and was affiliated in the past with the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society. He serves frequently as a juror for art events, and is a board or committee member of various other arts organizations in the region. Jeffrey was nominated for Pittsburgh Center for the Arts Artist of the Year, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
