Genevieve Geer attended Parsons School of Design and The Museum School, in Boston. She majored in illustration and animation. After school, she lived in New York City for 8 years as a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and prop builder. She moved to Philadelphia in 2007 and one week later saw live glass blowing for the first time, and never looked back. For five years she traveled from opportunity to opportunity, working for masters, and not-so-masterful glassblowers, finally landing at Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center in New Jersey. After leaving Wheaton with her partner Sam Geer, they moved back to Philadelphia and she started the quirky boutique stained glass company Le Puppet Regime. She has pieces in permanent collections world wide, including the Polish Tattoo Museum, where her solo show “Marked” will open in 2019. Each year she does between 12 and 16 shows along the Eastern Seaboard, as well as Louisville Kentucky and Chicago.
