ARTIST APPLICATION CHECKLIST

All applications must be received or postmarked by May 15th, 2010! Please note, all applications must be submitted via snail mail:

Download, print, and complete Artist Application Form.

Download, print, and complete Booth Request Form.

Save photos (4 of your artwork & 1 of your booth display) as JPEGs following image specification listed below. The higher the resolution, the better to see your artwork! Please name files with your last name, medium, and image #, as follows: JonesMetal03.jpeg.

Burn a CD of these images. Please make sure that your CD works! Write your last name and medium on the front and enclose in a protective envelope. (Make sure to save backup, as CD’s will NOT be returned. Please do not include a SASE.)

Make out a $25 check for application fee and separate $250 check for booth fee ($300 for corner booths). Each made payable to: Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh.

All images must be formatted to the following specifications:
  1. Dimensions: 1920 x 1920 pixels
  2. File Format: Save all images as BASELINE Standard JPEG. Do not save as a Progressive JPEG.
  3. File Size: JPEGs must be under 1.8 MB.
  4. Color space: Save images in an RGB color space, preferably sRGB.





Application Procedure for Special Situations:

1. A maximum of two artists may share a booth. Each artist must submit a set of five (5) slides and a $25. application fee. One check for $250. must also be submitted. Please indicate on each entry form who will be sharing the booth. Also indicate if either applicant will participate in A FAIR if the other is not accepted.
2. Artists may apply for one 11′X12′ space only. End spaces or corner booths are $300. Artists that would like a corner booth must include a check for $300. with their application. There are 32 available corner spaces for the 2008 A Fair in the Park.
3. Each artist may exhibit only work in the medium for which they have been accepted. To exhibit work in more than one medium, an artist must submit five (5) slides in each category of work and include a $25 application fee for each category.

PLEASE NOTE: All notifications will be made by email unless otherwise specified on Application Form. Please make a note on your form if you would like to receive your notification by USPS and make sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
